tuesday again? no problem
May. 10th, 2022 07:56 pm1. I woke up yesterday morning and realized that I might be able to finish my latest AMV in time for my channel's two year anniversary next Wednesday. The odds are.... low.... because of course I decided to do all sorts of action matching and quick cuts, and also ghosts, which are the real time-consuming part. But maybe!

fanifesto and I'm really liking it so far. I'm only a few hours in, and the game is nonstop throwing new people and events at me. I have NO idea what the overarching plot is. But the art is beautiful, the voice acting (only in Japanese) is good, and I'm enjoying myself. The protagonist for Chapter 1 is good too; idk how exactly to describe his personality, because he's pretty quiet, but he's definitely not bland. I'm already concerned for him 😬 he's in a bit of a pickle.
I was worried it was going to be a visual novel with choices, because I get nervous I'll pick the wrong one and lock myself out of the good endings, but so far it's strictly a novel that you click through.
(I especially got nervous when I went to save. "There's nine pages of save slots... why would you need those unless there's the possibility of failure???" But I have to assume that's just so you can go back to scenes you want to refresh yourself on? Idk, I'm new to the visual novel scene.)
3. My work certification came in the mail last time I was home! Now I just ("just") have to update my resume before I can start applying places.
I mostly like my current job, but over time I've gotten to do less of what I like to do, and more stressful work. And also I'm done with staying in a hotel and only going home every other weekend with a 4 hour drive each way 😑 I've done it for 9 months now, and before that there was a year and a half of going home every weekend with 1-2.5 hour drives, depending on the location. That's enough!
