I've been drawing a lot lately and slacking off at work to do so which is pretty new for me. I mean, I've always doodled! But when I was younger, my siblings were always so good at art, and I was... not. Of course, this probably is mostly because they're five and seven years older than me :D But I eventually decided I wasn't "good at art".
But really, it doesn't matter how "good" you are, as long as you're having fun! So here's some of my latest. (Not to say that I'm bad, I hate when people share stuff and are like "oh it's terrible haha" and then you look and it's absolutely gorgeous. But it's new to me!)

^This one's actually pretty old. I got pretty obsessed with how the line weight can make things look goopy/drippy. Sorry to make you melt, Tobi.

^This is my old Pathfinder character. She ended up a little skinny... The yellow squiggle is her using an electric spell on her sword (she's a magus so she can deliver spells through her weapon, and Shocking Grasp was my go-to spell). I obviously didn't bother with the hands or feet :D

^It's Naruto! He's so cheery! Here you can see my only method of coloring in this app, the highlighter tool. There's only one color which is remotely close to a pale skin tone, and it didn't look great, so his skin is uncolored. (The situation for darker skin tones is not great either. There are only 28 colors total.)
I forgot his thumb for a good ten minutes and only then started wondering why his hand didn't look right. Luckily it wasn't too hard to put one on after the fact.

^The premise behind this: while at the Sound base, Sasuke makes a clone and transforms it into Itachi so he can practice his monologuesand punch him for catharsis I guess. He isn't embarrassed at all to be caught. Sasuke has no shame. (The brown lines are supposed to be the doorway with Kabuto standing in it, idk if that comes through.)
I did this one today while at my laptop so I could actually look at references, which majorly helps and is the reason I could do a pose that isn't standing facing directly forward. And get Sasuke's hair right, I always mess it up if I try to do it from memory. I really like this one! It also features Kabuto, my potential favorite Naruto character ^_^

^And a bonus, a monstrosity I made yesterday for @bnha-fans :D
If I really wanted to work seriously on my drawing, I'd have to.... idk, learn anything about anatomy? Practice a lot? Learn how to color? Do backgrounds??? But tbh I'm almost happy with the level I'm at. I just want to be able to make little sketches to convey jokes or ideas :D There's always room for improvement but I don't have the time or motivation to Go Hard.
I would like to find a better app for my phone... right now I'm using Google Keep which is just a notes app. Something with layers would be incredible. Or a better way to color than using the highlighter tool. Or maybe a way to flip the canvas so I can see where I've gone wrong...
